CA Latino Legislative Caucus Endorses Eggman in 13th District Race

Stockton, CA - The California Latino Legislative Caucus has endorsed Stockton City Councilmember Susan Talamantes Eggman for Assembly in 2012.

The Latino Legislative Caucus comprises twenty-seven members: nine Senators and eighteen Assembly Members. It is one of the most influential organizations within the State Legislature.

"I'm honored to have the endorsement of the California Latino Legislative Caucus," said Eggman. "I look forward to working with Caucus members as a member of the State Assembly to improve the lives of working families in my district and throughout the state."

The redrawn 13th District is 40 percent Latino and contains the City of Stockton, the City of Tracy, and other areas of San Joaquin County along the Delta.

Local Educators Hold Event for Susan

Stockton, CA -- Leading local educators met Monday, January 9th on the Miracle Mile to support Susan Talamantes Eggman's campaign for State Assembly.

The crowd of about two dozen teachers, education leaders and others packed a room at Centrale Kitchen & Bar.

Talamantes Eggman, an educator herself, spoke passionately of her reasons for seeking public office, and reiterated her commitment to bring a state university campus to Stockton.

The Educators for Eggman fundraising event was hosted by Stockton Unified School Board Chair Sara Cazares, Delta College Board President Janet Rivera, Delta Trustee Steve Castellanos, El Concilio President Jose Rodriguez. realtors Lela and Bob Nelson and Lodi Unified School Board Chair Van-Ha To-Cowell.

The event was sponsored by educators Ruben Garza, Marie Nakamura and Larry J. Hernandez, as well as Centrale, whose owner, Tony, deserved special thanks.

Congressional Candidate Jose Hernandez Endorses Eggman for Assembly 

Stockton, CA. – Jose Hernandez, former astronaut and candidate for CD 10, has announced his endorsement of Stockton City Councilmember Susan Talamantes Eggman in her bid for Assembly.  

“I’m supporting Susan because of her hard work and dedication for the residents of Stockton as a member of the City Council,” said Hernandez. “I know she will continue to work for a better community and will continue her fight for San Joaquin County in the State Assembly.” 

Hernandez is a Central Valley native who graduated from Franklin High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from University of the Pacific. He was a crewmember on the space shuttle in 2009. 

“I’m proud to have Jose’s endorsement,” said Eggman. “He is a true leader and inspiration to many in our community.”

More Education Leaders Back Susan

Stockton, CA – Community College and K-12 education leaders are coming out in support of Susan Talamantes Eggman in her race for the 13th District Assembly seat in 2012. “I am honored that those in the education community are coming out to support me in this race,” said Eggman. “As an educator myself, the future of the state’s school system is of the utmost importance to me and will be a top priority for me in the Assembly.”

Carpenters Local 152 Endorses Susan for Assembly

Stockton, CA- The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local Union 152 recently endorsed Stockton City Councilmember Susan Talamantes Eggman for Assembly in 2012. “I’m proud that the Carpenters are supporting my campaign," said Talamantes Eggman.  “I have fought to create jobs in this county and will keep working with those on the front lines to create good paying jobs in our communities.” The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local Union 152 joins a growing list of local elected officials, educators and area residents supporting Eggman.
